Design Master Sprays - Modern Metals Black Chrome – 3 sq glass vases (a stock floral item often found at the flea market), 3 - 3” succulents, 1 small bag soil, 1 small bag natural pebbles, painter's tape, newspaper

TECHNIQUE

  1. Protect area from overspray with newspaper.
  2. Ensure vases are clean. Mask the top third of vase with masking tape.
  3. Invert vase on protected area. Approximately 12" from the surface, spray the vase with Black Chrome in parallel, back and forth strokes. Apply 1 light coat which will appear translucent. Let dry. Apply a second coat. When dry, remove the masking tape.
  4. Plant succulents in vase with the soil line below the paint line. Top dress with small natural pebbles.
Project Tip: For ease of application, set the vases on a plastic turntable and rotate while spraying. TECHNIQUE

  1. Make sure pots are clean and dry.
  2. Spray 2-3 light coats of Robin's Egg, Aspen Yellow and Olive Bright on individual pots, applying approx 10"-12" from surface. Let dry.
  3. Protect with 2 light coats of Pottery Sealer. Let dry.
  4. With paint pens draw partial daisy blossoms just under the rim on 2 sides of pots.
  5. Paint stripes on lip of pot. Let dry then outline in black.
  6. Plant pots with bloomers or fill with sand, candle and glass globe for outdoor lighting.

Design Master Sprays - COLORTOOL Spray Olive Bright - natural basket, Stryrofoam® brand foam, wood picks, 6 – 4 silk white or light green hydrangea, 1 bolt ribbon - 1 ½” Retro Stripe in yellow/aqua, 3 artificial oranges, 3 artificial lemons, glue/glue gun, knife, wire clippers, newspaper

TECHNIQUE

  1. Protect work area from overspray with newspaper. Shake can of Olive Bright vigorously. Lightly spray basket approx. 15"-18" from surface to add a translucent application of color. Let dry.
  2. Lightly spray hydrangea blossoms with Olive Bright in the same manner. (Change white blooms to green or brighten light green ones.) Fluff florets and lightly mist again for more coverage.
  3. Trim Styrofoam to fit basket with top slightly below basket rim.
  4. Place ribbon around basket and through one handle. Tie in a simple shoestring fashion.
  5. Clip leaves from stem. Cut hydrangea stems and insert into foam in a mounding fashion.
  6. With knife cut a short slit into oranges and lemons. Insert a wood pick into fruit then arrange in bouquet, inserting pick into foam.
  7. Glue or pick leaves into arrangement.

Design Master Sprays - Premium Metallics Super Silver - red glass vase, 10 fresh red mini gerbera daisies, 12 fresh red roses, knife, small bowl with dish soap, sea sponge, paper towel

TECHNIQUE

  1. Make a soapy solution with dish soap in a small amount of water. With the sponge, work up a bunch of suds then apply them to the vase. IMMEDIATELY spray Super Silver over the suds.
  2. Wipe off excess moisture with paper towel to reveal an irregular organic pattern. Let dry. Repeat step for more coverage if desired.
  3. In water, arrange roses and gerbera daisies in vase.

    1. Lightly sand wood and wipe clean.
    2. Apply two light coats of Prairie Grass or Mandarin spraying approximately 12” from surface. Let dry between coats.
    3. For an ultra smooth finish, sand the painted surface using an ordinary piece of paper to remove small impurities.
    4. Apply two light coats of Clear Finish matte for added durability to finish.
    5. Personalize with embellishments of your choice. Rub on transfers and scrapbooking items were used here.

    TECHNIQUE

    1. Spray ColorTEX on side surfaces of ceramic container.
    2. Apply 1-2 light coats of Champagne Silver spraying approximately 10-12” from surface. Let finish dry. ColorTEX takes 6-8 hours to dry thoroughly so prep the container before designing.
    3. Soak floral foam and cut to fit container.
    4. To blend flower hues, spray Tiger Lily on cymbidium orchids. Remember to spray fresh flowers 12"-15" from petals.
    5. Arrange blossoms in a mounded fashion as shown. Use water tube picks for short stemmed orchid blossoms.
    6. Accessorize with votive holders embellished with pearled wire.

    TECHNIQUE

    reindeer
    1. Heavily spray reindeer with Glue for Glitter and immediately pour glitter over the adhesive. Lightly tap to remove excess glitter. Reapply adhesive in sections if needed. Layers of glitter can be applied for a rich result.
      2. Project TIp: Pour glitter on reindeer over a large piece of paper. Excess glitter then can be funneled on the paper to be applied over reindeer again or poured back into container.
    basket
    1. Evenly spray basket and lid with Rose Hip. Let dry.
    2. Heavily spray Mess Master into a paper towel then wipe over surface of basket to remove color. This technique enhances the woven texture and gives a color wash.
    arrangement
    1. Basecoat tin compote with two coats of Rose Hip. Let dry.
    2. Turn compote upside down. Mist all four sides with water to form lots of droplets. Quickly spray Copper over the surface then dap or lightly wipe off moisture. The water resists the copper color to let the underlying color show through in a unique pattern.
    3. Mist edges of green hydrangea with Wild Rose for a natural burnishing.
    4. Accent some of the blossoms with opalina crystal applied with Glue for Glitter.
    5. Insert dry floral foam into container. Arrange blossoms and millimeter balls in a mounded fashion.

    1. Spray 2 light coats of Olive Bright on white paperboard gift box. Let dry.
    2. Embellish with ribbon.
    wreath
    1. Fluff wreath to shape.
    2. Spray Flurry to top and sides of wreath. Apply in two fairly heavy coats. Let dry thoroughly for approximately 8 hours or overnight.
    3. Glue red glass ornaments into boughs of wreath.
