FathersDay.jpgFathersDayHelleborus_sm.jpg design by Cathy Skraba

TOOLS AND MATERIALS

Design Master Sprays - COLORTOOL Sprays IVORY - 2 white, water resistant, decorative paper sleeves and one plastic pot from Cathy'sWraps - hole punch - exacto knife or scissors - circle template or small coin - painter's tape - glue gun - a curl of ribbon - one 4" plant (an 'Ivory Prince' Helleborus used here)

TECHNIQUE

  1. Mask off stripes on one decorative sleeve.
  2. Punch holes to make a pattern in the other.
  3. Following directions on the can, spray each paper sleeve with Ivory. Let dry and remove the painters tape.
  4. To create the scallop edge, draw a guide line about halfway down the sleeve using the top edge of striped sleeve. Place the coin along the arc, trace and repeat. Trim with scissors and glue ends together to form the collar.
  5. Form the striped sleeve then slip it into the collar. Add ribbon.
  6. Transplant flowers into the CathysWraps pot and wipe away any excess dirt. Nestle pot into sleeve.
Project Tip: Share this craft with the kids. Spray the sleeves ahead of time, provide some paper, glue, markers, crayons, stickers and whatnot then watch what happens. Cathy's Wraps available at http://www.cathyswraps.com
