TECHNIQUE

  1. On a protected surface, spray basket with 24KT Pure Gold. Apply 2 light coats of color to all exterior surfaces. Let dry between coats.
  2. Insert and secure Styrofoam to basket. Arrange floral elements in a mounded fashion.
  3. Clip spruce stem into smaller sections. Insert into foam creating the outer dimension of design.
  4. Remove several hydrangea leaves. Spray 24KT Pure Gold into crumpled paper towel and wipe over leaf surface. Re-spray into cellophane as needed. Let dry. This creates a gilded look on the foliage.
  5. Spray hydrangeas with Glitter Gold. Let dry.
  6. Cut hydrangea stems and insert in a mounded fashion into the foam.
  7. Wire hydrangea leaves onto wooden picks and insert into foam or glue leaves into place.
  8. Wire pine cones onto a wooden stick and insert in foam or glue cones into place.
  9. Clip lengths of ribbon, arrange in a loop with a tail and secure in place.
  10. Arrange millimeter balls and secure in place.
  11. Tightly wrap gold wire around a short stem of the peacock eye. Leave a length of wire to attach to a wood pick. Insert the pick into the foam and let feather fall over bouquet.
