apply this unique blending tip to meld colors together in a rich glaze

TOOLS AND MATERIALS

Design Master Sprays – COLORTOOL Spray Basil, Hunter Green, Ivory, Clear Finish Gloss, Mess Master – unfinished terra cotta pot, newspapers

TECHNIQUE

  1. On a protected area with layers of newspaper directly below the pot, randomly spray the pot in Hunter Green, Basil and Ivory. It will look like a mess, but the next step unifies the colors.
  2. Heavily spray the pot with Mess Master, letting the excess blend into the various colors. In desired areas, reapply Mess Master to control blending. Can also spritz desired color in sections to create desired effect. In some areas, the terra cotta will start to show through. Let dry.
  3. To enhance the color apply 2 coats of Clear Finish Gloss, spraying approx. 12” from surface. Let dry.
Project Tip: Select other colors and follow the Mess Master process to customize the finished look.
